The small village Barbati is on the north east coast of Corfu, 20 kms from Corfu Town and the airport. By the central situation Barbati
is the ideal starting point for all activities on Korfu. The bus travel takes 30 minutes to Corfu town for shopping and sightseeing or along the wild-romantic coast to
Kassiopi in the north. Barbati lies between olive groves of the foot of the highest mountain of Korfu. The mountain-slopes of the Pantokrator (906 mts) rise directly behind the village.
Barbati has two pebble stone beaches with crystal-clear water. The 1 km long beach Armoura ranks among the most beautiful beaches of the
island and is awarded with the blue flag of the European Union. There are many water sports, boat rentals, sun beds and umbrellas and some taverns and bars. The small beach Akrogiali is suitable for
snorkeling at the rocky coast. Steep step-ways lead to further small beaches.
In the village you find some taverns with moderate prices, cafes and bars, souvenir shops, small supermarkets, a baker's
shop and a laundry. Night life is limited to quiet drinks and meals. A motorcycle rental and a car hire make possible to explore the island.
A highlight at the Barbati beach. Restaurant and bar Piedra del mar.
